Discover how we help the climate through smartphone use

Every step counts

At UNDO, we believe that companies must do their part to address global challenges, including climate change. That's why we are committed to the planet, together with our subscribers. We may not be able to change the world overnight, but every bit helps. Small contributions can lead to a big impact. That's how we build a more sustainable world, one smartphone at a time

Device
We include a one-off emission for the production and transport of your device. In fact, smartphones are manufactured from various rare earth metals such as gold, silver, cobal and lithium among many others. In doing so, we assume – on the basis of published environmental reports of manufacturers such as Apple, Huawei and Fairphone – a life span of three years for smartphones and wearables
Telecom use
To calculate your telecom usage, the algorithm takes into account your real-time consumption (calls, texts, data)
Battery consumption
The calculator measures the charging time of your smartphone and then calculates the CO2 emissions released in that process
Onboarding and Activation
Ordering your UNDO SIM card on internet or with the app, including activation of it also has its own footprint. The UNDO app takes into account this as a one off emission to make sure nothing is missed along way
The UNDO Solution
How to reduce your impact with UNDO?
earth
UNDO wants to do something for the planet on a larger scale and is therefore committed to both UNDO Forest and UNDO Removal. UNDO Forest is a reforestation initiative owned 100% by UNDO. The plantation is run in collaboration with GI-AGRO, our local partner at IBI Village, which is located 140 km east of Kinshasa. UNDO Removal consists of a selection of projects that capture CO₂ from the air. We are taking concrete actions to compensate our users' CO₂ emissions. Follow our socials for real-time updates.
